Adenta-Madina footbridge demo gets police clearance
Police in Adenta has reached an agreement with residents of Adenta-Madina over their planned peaceful demonstration Monday.
The residents peeved over the incessant death on the Adenta-Madina highway planned a peaceful walk to express their displeasure over the non-completion of six footbridges on the highway.
This, they claim has resulted in many deaths as speeding vehicles refuse to stop for pedestrians to cross.
But their protest was nearly marred after the police resolved to stop them from staging the peaceful walk for not notifying them as stipulated in the Public Order Act.
However, after consultation with organizers, the police have reached an agreement with them.
Adomonline.com’s editor, Joshua Tigo who is at Adenta reported that, the demonstration will proceed.
It will start from the West African Senior High School (WASS) to SDA Junction.
