Samuel Quansah Quarcoo donates to Emmaus Met Awoshie School Complex
A US-based retired Ghanaian Teacher, Mr Samuel Quansah Quarcoo has donated items worth thousands of Ghana cedis to Emmaus Met Awoshie School Complex at Awoshie’s last stop in the greater Accra region.
In a short ceremony to hand over the items, the Philanthropist noted that quality education was the most integral component of development in any society and pledged to give premium to the development of the education sector.
Some of the items donated to the school were shoes, school bags, textbooks, notebooks, a PA system, pens, pencils, toothbrushes and paste, liquid soaps, sanitizers, and many others.
Samuel Quansah encouraged students to take their academic work seriously.
He further tasked them to be disciplined in the discharge of their duties.
“I will encourage all of you to take your studies more seriously and be disciplined as you are our future leaders,” he said.
He therefore appealed to other Philanthropists to support the less privileged and the societies to enhance development.
Speaking on behalf of the Diocesan Bishop, Very Rev. Andrew Mbeah-Baiden, the Synod Secretary of Northern Accra expressed his gratitude to the Philanthropist for his support.
Some of the beneficiaries who received the donated items also expressed their appreciation to Mr, Quansah.
Some Distinguished People who were present on the occasion are: Rev. Joseph E. Baidoo, the Local Manager of Emmaus Methodist School and the Superintendent Minister of the Awoshie Circuit, as well as Madam Sandra Odei Acheampong, the Deputy Director of Education in charge of Supervision, were among the dignitaries in attendance (Ga Central Municipal Assembly).
