Police-prescribed uniforms for private security begins Nov. 1
The Ghana Police Service has set 1 November 2018 for the enforcement of the newly approved uniform for Private Security Organisations (PSOs).
The Private Security Operations Directorate (PSOD) of the Ghana Police Service said in a press statement signed by ASP David Eklu, Director-General of Public Affairs of the Ghana Police Service on 1 October 2018 that: “1 November 2018 remains the effective date for the enforcement of the new approved uniforms as agreed upon the tripartite committee”.
In view of that, the police said: “All Security Coordinators of PSOs including private companies, MMDAs (Metropolitan, Municipal and District Assemblies), universities, etc., are expected to comply with the new uniform regime”.
