Buipe Throne: Buipewura Jinapor Launches 10th Anniversary

 The Paramount chief  of the Buipe traditional area, Buipewura Abdulai Jinapor (II) on Saturday launched the 10 years of his enskinment as the Paramount Chief of Buipe Traditional Area.

 A well attended durbar to launch the 10th Anniversary of the Buipewura’s enskinement was attended by Chiefs and people from Buipe and across Gonjaland and Government officials

 Chiribonwura Kipo Harrison Salifu who read the speech of the Buipewura said the Buipewura dedicated his 10th anniversary to the creation of awareness of the proposed Savanna Region out of Northern and therefore implored all present especially the media to educate and inform the public especially the Savana catchment areas under the proposed Savanna Region to Vote YES on the 27th December 2018 for the region to be created out of the present Northern Region.

 Chiribonwura Kipo Harrison , a former Headmaster of Damongo Senior High School reminded all and sundry that the commencement of vote transfer especially to those outside the catchment areas started on Sunday  16th September 2018 and therefore urged everybody present to inform those outside to transfer their votes to enable them exercise their franchise in December.

 The Buipewura through Chiribonwura Kipo Harrison called on his people to fully participate in all activities before the grand durbar of his 10th Anniversary during the Annual Damba festival of the Chiefs and people of Buipe in December, 2018

 The Buipewura thanked the Yagbonwura for all what he has done for him during his reign and also thanked his Chiefs and people for the unflinching support in his ten years reign.

Speaking to the media after the launch in his Palace, Chief Jinapor said the main anniversary will take place in December during this years Damba festival inside the Jinapor stadium and siaclosed that many dignitaries are expected to grace the occasion. He emphasized the need for the media to champion the education for the creation of the proposed Savanna region our of the Northern Region.

 A raffle that was drawn as part of the activities saw many people win several awards.

 The first Football matche between teams in Gonjaland to commemorate the anniversary was played.

 Several dignitaries were present to grace the launch and they included representatives from the Overlord of Gonja Yagbonwura Tuntumba Boresa led the Paramount Chief of Kong Traditional Area, Kongwura Jinkurge (I) and the linguist of the Jakpa Palace Alhaji Losina Afuli.

 Other dignitaries from Gonjaland who grace the occasion included Alhaji Dr Achanso Sulemana of Bui power Authority, Alhaji Iddirsu Sulemana (Professor Kalamonia), a former NPP Regional vice Chairman hopeful and others.

 Buipewura Abudulai Jinapor who is a retired Police Officer was enskinned Buipewura in 2008 following the death of his successor Buipewura Atoti Chinchanko.

 Before his enskinment Buipewura Jinapor (II) was a sub- Chief Buipe (Silmawura).
