The Nkawie Circuit Court has granted bail to seven Hearts of Oak fans who were were arrested for allegedly demolishing chairs at the Baba Yara Stadium and throwing them on the pitch last Sunday.

The incident occurred during the Taabea Super 2 match played between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak which Kotoko won 2-0 to seal a 4-0 aggregate victory.

Some fans were upset that the referee on the day did not award them a penalty when a player was fouled in the box.

Their anger was directed at the plastic chairs which they demolished and hurled on the pitch.

The court  granted bail to the fans with a surety of GHS 50,000 each.

After the match, the National Sports Authority announced the cost of repairing the chairswould be about GHS 30,000, and the two teams had been asked to foot the bills else they would not gain access to any of the stadia in the country.

The two clubs are yet to make any official comments on the matter.
