I jailed Akuapem Poloo to teach a lesson to ‘nude-loving’ social media slay queens – Presiding Judge

Her Honour Mrs Christiana Cann an Accra Circuit Court Judge has said that Akuapem Poloo’s sentence is a message to the young ladies who have made nudity a way of life.

According to her, it has become a worrying trend on Ghana’s social media space indicating that this message should  serve as a disincentive to others.

Akuapem Poloo has been sentenced to 90 days in prison by an Accra Circuit Court for posting nude photos of herself and her son.

The actress was facing charges of publication of obscene materials, engaging in domestic violence namely conduct that in any way undermines another person’s privacy or integrity and engaging in domestic violence namely conduct that in any way detracts or is likely to detract from another person’s dignity and worth as a human being.

Akuapem Poloo has, however, in a message to her fans and colleagues expressed her appreciation for the support given her during these trying times and has said that it will make her stronger.
