7 properties of late Access Bank CEO, Herbert Wigwe that will blow your mind

On February 9, 2024, Nigeria and the world at large were left in extreme shock at the sudden demise of the former Chief Executive Officer of Access Bank, Herbert Wigwe.

The bank chief tragically lost his life in a helicopter crash in California, along with his wife, son and three others.

After the news of his demise, million questions were asked. We also dug further into the life of the giant bank co-founder and all that he had achieved.

Here are 7 top properties of the late Mr Wigwe:

The Wigwe mansion

This mansion shows the taste of the late Herbert Wigwe, for luxury and real estate. It is a multi-million dollar mansion located at Queens’s Drive in Ikoyi. It has infrastructure that was 80% imported. He hosted top Nigerian billionaire, Femi Otedola and Aliko Dangote in the mansion.

Craneburg Construction

Craneburg Construction had done many construction projects in the country. It was this firm that built the highways, bridges and high-end mansions in Lekki phase two, and other parts of the country.

Wigwe university

The late Wigwe inaugurated the university in October 2023. The university costs a total of about 500 million dollars. The university has state of the art facilities and other things that are needed to grow a generation of well-skilled leaders.

Access Bank PLC

The Access Bank is the most known property of Mr Wigwe. It is one of the biggest banks in Nigeria and other parts of West Africa. He tried to expand the bank into Asia, but could not because of his tragic death.

HOW foundation

The HOW foundation is a non-profit organization created by Mr Wigwe in 2016. The foundation was dedicated to health projects including raising awareness on prostrate cancer and malaria. The foundation also supports educational initiatives, as well as, provides food and relief supplies to the needy.

Access Holdings

It is a leading multinational financial services group established by Mr Wigwe. It offers commercial banking, lending, payment, insurance, and asset management- It operates in more than 10 African countries.

Tengen Holdings

It’s a Mauritius-based investment holding company representing the financial interests of the Wigwe family.
