47-year-old man arrested for allegedly defiling a 3-year-old girl

A 47-year-old man has been apprehended for allegedly defiling a three-year-old minor in Kuwait, a community within the Ga South Municipality of the Greater Accra Region.

The suspect, identified as Efo Emma, was taken into custody and sent to the Tuba Police Station by residents after he was reportedly caught in the act.

Reporting from the area on “Nyankonton Mu Nsem” on Rainbow Radio 87.5FM, Oheneba Ademah of Rainbow Radio stated that Efo Emma lured the minor into his room and allegedly defiled her on Wednesday, May 29, 2024. He mentioned that the suspect brought the little girl to his room when the victim’s mother had left for the market.

The report further revealed that another tenant in the house heard the minor crying from Efo Emma’s room. She knocked on the door, but there was no response, and attempts to open it were futile because it was locked from the inside.

According to Ademah, the tenant questioned the suspect about why he had kept the girl in his room and refused to open the door when the minor was crying. Efo Emma did not respond, prompting the tenant to raise an alarm, which led other residents to rush to the scene.

They forced Efo Emma’s door open, only to discover him naked and having smeared the victim’s private parts with pomade. Ademah further revealed that the suspect had also applied pomade to his genitalia.

Efo Emma was arrested and taken to the Tuba Police Station, where he is currently being held. The minor, who is in pain, has been transported to the hospital for a medical examination.
