44 suspected criminals arrested from various ghettos in Accra

Police in Accra have rounded up 44 suspected criminals from various ghettos in some parts of Accra under the Tesano Divisional Command.

The exercise was undertaken by the Tesano Divisional Command led by ACP Martin Oduro Appiah and six officers and Nineteen men.

The exercise was to clamp down on criminal activities and drug peddling and usage within the jurisdiction.

Areas covered included Abeka Free- pipe, Fadama, Santana Market, Lapaz and 7 days Ofankor.

At the end of the swoop, Police retrieved one unregistered Motor Bike, a pair of scissors, an unspecified number of lighters and a number of dried leaves suspected to be cannabis.
