2-year-old boy killed after falling into Veronica bucket

A two-year-old boy has lost his life after falling into a Veronica bucket at Kwahu Dura in the Kwahu West Municipality of the Eastern region.

Police report says the boy, Yaw Anim, fell into the Veronica bucket in an attempt to fetch water in the absence of his mother.

He was rushed to the Holy Family Hospital at Nkawkaw but was pronounced dead on arrival.

His grandfather, Samuel MacCarthy, reported the case to the Nkawkaw Police Station.

The Eastern Regional Deputy Police PRO, Sergeant Francis Gomado, cautioned parents and guardians to keep an eye on kids at home.
