11 armed land guards arrested at Asabaham

The Central East Police Command has arrested 11 notorious land guards armed with weapons at Asabaham in the Ga South District of the Greater Accra Region.

Information gathered by Kasapa News’ Yaw Boagyan indicated that the land guards have allegedly been harassing people and assaulting pregnant women in the past months, which has left the residents in a state of fear and panic.

The suspect persons are Ali Razak, 34 years old; Mohammed Salis, 41 years old; Mohammed Amin, 30 years old; Yussif Yakubu, 31 years old; and Manam Mubarak, 30 years old.

The others include Habib Abdullai, 31 years old; Samuel Ametrona, 26 years old; Abdul Madid Adam, 35 years old; Iddrisu Yakubu, 30 years old; Nii Attoh Emmanuel, 42 years old; and Isaac Boadu, 43 years old.

They were carrying cutlasses and axes in a green Toyota 4Runner with the registration number GW 4420-X when they were arrested.

The police said the suspects will be arraigned in the coming days as the investigation proceeds.
