‘Your polices will develop Ghana if you walk the talk’ – Asantehene to Dr. Bawumia

The Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II says policies outlined by the flagbearer of the governing New Patriotic Party NPP Dr Mahamadu Bawumia will propel Ghana’s development if only he will walk the talk.

“I know Ghana will thrive under your regime looking at the policies you have laid bare in relation to the various sectors of the economy, if indeed you will do as you say, Ghana will for sure develop.”

He said this when Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia paid a courtesy call to him at the Manhyia Palace on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

Otumfuo Osei Tutu II emphasized that he does not doubt the abilities of Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia adding that, he will deliver as Ghana’s leader.

Dr. Bawumia’s humility

The Asantehene again hailed Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia for his humility. He noted that Dr. Bawumia has for a long time humbled himself to Ghanaians despite rising to the high office of the vice president.

He urged Dr. Bawumia to continue to remain humble as humility was one of the key ingredients for a good leader.

Dr. Bawumia’s statement

For his part, Dr. Bawumia thanked the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II for his continued support.

In his opening statement at the Manhyia Palace, Dr. Bawumia noted that he called on the Asantehene for prayers and guidance as he prepares for the 2024 polls.

He used the opportunity to elaborate on his vision for the country in the various sectors of the economy.

Dr. Bawumia assured the Asantehene that, he was ready to lead Ghana and roll out policies that will help develop Ghana exponentially.
