Wontumi ‘curses’ himself over Canadian kidnappings

Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako has called for the spirit of dreaded deity ‘Antoa Nyamaa’ to strike him dead should he lie about Seidu Yakubu Mba, one of the alleged kidnappers of the two Canadians linked to the party.

“I must be struck dead if I know Seidu Yakubu and have taken any step to sheild him over his heinous crime” He cursed denying the suspect is a member of the pro-vigilante group of the party, Delta Force and by extension a card-bearing member of NPP.

Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako who spoke on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com reveals knowing the suspect, Seidu Yakubu Mba with National Democratic Congress’ vigilante group The Hawks

“He is not NPP member neither is he a sympathizer of our great party. I know Seidu Yakuba has received Range Rover from Mr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo [NDC National Chairman] also he is personnel bodyguard of John Mahama”, the NPP Regional Chair alleged.

Meanwhile, Pro-New Patriotic Party (NPP), vigilante group, Delta Force has dissociated itself from Asante Kotoko’s notorious supporter, Seidu Yakubu Mba as a member of the group.

Earlier reports suggested that the suspected who has been arrested alongside seven others for various roles played in the kidnapping of two Canadian women in Kumasi is a member of the group.

But a statement issued by the leadership of Delta Force signed by Mohammed Seidu stated “the Delta Force Group in the Ashanti Region would like to state unequivocally that the said culprit (Seidu), has never been a member of our group and he’s not part of us. Consequently, the group, thus, distances itself from the conduct and operations of this man called Seidu”.
