Woman who killed, buried 12 year old boy remanded in prison with accomplice

The Saltpond District Court has remanded a 50- year -old woman, Auntie Montaya and her accomplice, Kwesi Adu who allegedly killed and buried a 12-year-old grandson at Saltpond into prison custody.

The two are to reappear before the court on November 9, 2018.

Prosecutor Inspector Owusu told the court presided over by Her Worship Patience Ablorh that, the deceased was a relative leaving with the first accused, Auntie Montaya, in the same room.

According to him, Auntie Montaya accused the boy of using his witchcraft to derail the progress of her business.

Inspector Owusu said, on September 26, 2018, Auntie Montaya allegedly killed the boy and hired her accomplice, Kwesi Adu to put the body into a paper box for burial in a nearby bush.

He said an official complaint was made by a senior brother to the deceased at the Saltpond Police station, leading to the arrests of the two suspects.

Parts of the deceased’s body which has since been retrieved by the police has been sent to a Pathologist awaiting an autopsy report.
