A 13-year-old-boy, who had his cheeks slashed with a blade by 23-year-old Maame Afua at Twifo Praso in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District of the Central region, has recounted his ordeal to Adom News.
“I asked her why she dumped refuse in an open place few minutes I swept and collected a heap of refuse from the same place and in return, she started insulting me.
“She was heard saying she will hurt me but she was urged to calm down and as I was in my shop working, she attacked me with a blade,” he narrated.
Juliana Asante, who is the boy’s guardian, says Ms Afua was arrested after they filed a complaint but had been granted bail because she is a nursing mother.
“She has been asked to report to the Twifo Praso Police Station but we are waiting for a date when the culprit will be arraigned,” she said.
