Joyce Dzidzor Mensah to receive psychiatric treatment after suicide attempt

Following the recent suicide attempt by Joyce Dzidzor, a former HIV/AIDS ambassador, friends, and well-wishers have decided to admit her in a psychiatric hospital.

The mother of three in a Facebook post announced her decision to kill herself, as well as her three children to escape stigmatization and financial stress.

However, a close pal of Dzidzor revealed to Zylofon 102.1 FM that after series of counseling, she has agreed to mental treatment.

Four years ago, Dzidzor publicly announced that she lied about her HIV/AIDS status for years and had never tested positive for the disease before working with the Ghana AIDS commission as an HIV/AIDS ambassador.

Following her revelation, Ghanaians have bashed her for pretence and allegedly duping the commission of funds.

The mother of three says her family has suffered brutal stigmatization from the public and that influenced her decision to commit suicide.
