What triggered Kumchacha and Nana Romeo’s near fight on United Showbiz

During a discussion on United Showbiz, Prophet Kumchacha entered into a heated argument with Nana Romeo that almost turned physical.

At one point, Kumchacha even grabbed Nana Romeo by the shirt while threatening him.

But the altercation began when Nana Romeo dismissed Kumchacha’s claim that he was the first to hear about Kofi Adomah’s eye incident.

Kumchacha was also triggered when Nana Romeo condemned him for disrespecting Vim Lady after she made the public announcement about Kofi’s plight.

It would be recalled that when Vim Lady took to social media to disclose news about the shooting incident that led to Kofi Adomah’s eye injury, Kumchacha was among the many netizens who lambasted her for sharing information that, in his view, should not have been made public.

Kumchacha claimed he had even asked Kofi’s wife, and she told him she had not shared anything with Vim Lady.

However, Nana Romeo argued that, given Vim Lady’s closeness to Kofi Adomah, she was likely informed by his wife as well. He also criticised Kumchacha for insulting Vim Lady over the incident.

Addressing Prophet Kumchacha, Nana Romeo advised him to stop presenting himself as a journalist and commenting on every issue.

He added, “I am beginning to lose respect for you because you don’t respect yourself.”

This prompted Kumchacha to respond, stating that Nana Romeo also disrespects people and talks without thinking.

Labeling Nana Romeo a hypocrite, Kumchacha cited an instance where he openly criticised Captain Smart and called for his arrest.

He referred to Nana Romeo’s reaction to a recent incident where a video of Captain Smart criticised AngloGold Ashanti for denying indigenous people’s rights, a situation that netizens believe was linked to the recent violence in Obuasi, which resulted in the deaths of at least nine people.

“You are a hypocrite. When Captain Smart urged the youth of Obuasi to attack the mining company, you were one of the first to call for his arrest. You are a hypocrite, especially on social media,” Kumchacha stated.

He also cited another instance where Nana Romeo spoke on certain issues as if he were an official spokesperson.

“When Bishop Salifu’s issue came up, you said I didn’t know anything about it, yet I spoke as if I were the spokesperson for the family. But when Akua Donkor died, you were the same person speaking as though the family had asked you to represent them…You are a hypocrite and don’t respect yourself,” Kumchacha said.

Triggered to the core, Kumchacha got up and physically confronted Nana Romeo during the heated exchange.

“Your career will end. If you play with me, I will beat you if you dare me. When there’s an issue, you speak with authority, yet you don’t have the facts. You’re misleading the public,” he added.
