Exclusive childhood pictures of Dr Bawumia as he turns 55

Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia turns 55 today, Sunday, October 7, 2018.

MyNewsGh.com has exclusive childhood pictures of the economist who partnered Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for the third successive time as his running mate after the 2008 and 2012 general elections respectively.

He went into the 2016 elections as a formidable force to reckon with as he became an albatross on the neck of the then ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) and has been credited for contributing significantly to the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP’s) electoral victory in 2016.

Born in Tamale in the Northern region, he was a Deputy Governor of the Bank of Ghana until his nomination as Vice Presidential candidate for the NPP in 2008, 2012 and 2016.

He was the lead witness for the petitioners in the 2012/2013 Presidential Election Petition which challenged the declaration of John Mahama as the winner of the election.

He is married to Samira Bawumia and they have four children.
