West Ham’s Summerville reveals why he celebrated goal against Man Utd with Mohammed Kudus

West Ham United winger, Crysencio Summerville, has revealed that he shares a special bond with Ghanaian winger and teammate Mohammed Kudus.

Summerville, who celebrated with Kudus after scoring against Manchester United, asserted that he idolizes the Ghanaian.

The Dutch forward explained that he celebrated his goal with Kudus to fulfil a promise he made before entering the game.

“Yeah, yeah, very close. I like Mo [Kudus] a lot. I look up to him as well, on the pitch, off the pitch. So, yeah, I was happy. I told him when I come on, I’m going to score and I’m going to celebrate with you. So, that’s why the emotions came up,” he explained.

Summerville climbed off the bench to score the opener in West Ham United’s 2-1 win over Manchester United on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

The goal was his first in Hammers colours since completing his move to the London side from Championship club Leeds United.

Meanwhile, Mohammed Kudus missed the game due to a three-game suspension following his scuffle during a defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the previous game.
