‘We’re not afraid’ — Osimhen fires warning to Jose Mourinho ahead of Galatasaray vs Fenerbahce clash

Victor Osimhen starred as Galatasaray dug deep to secure a crucial 2-1 victory away at Rizespor in the Turkish Super Lig on Monday night.

The 26-year-old scored a brace to help the Turkish champions maintain their 6-point gap at the top of the league.

The Nigerian international broke the deadlock in the 47th minute before the home side equalized in the 54th minute through Ali Sowe.

The 2023 African Footballer of the Year grabbed the winner with a superb header four minutes left on the clock.

It was Osimhen’s 24th goal contribution in 24 matches since joining Galatasaray in early September.

In a post-match reaction, the Super Eagles striker warned that his side is not afraid of their upcoming super clash against Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce side.

“It will be a normal match. We are not afraid of Fenerbahce. We are ready,” Osimhen stated confidently.

Galatasaray will host Jose Mourinho’s side at Rams Park on Monday, February 24.

The first meeting ended in a 3-1 victory for Galatasaray in September.
