Member of Parliament (MP) for Adansi Asokwa, Kobina Tahir Hammond has said the Parliament House would be set ablaze should the government force the controversial Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE) into the school curriculum, MyNewsGh.com reports.

The former Deputy Minister of Energy believes the Minister of Education, Matthew Opoku Prempeh ‘NAPO’ is “too sane” to champion such a “useless and evil course” in this “godly country”.

“If it turns out that, my junior brother Napo is the one covertly pushing that agenda, I swear to personally deal with him drastically; I would not even have anything to do with him again, not to talk of calling him my brother ever again”, Mr Tahir fumed in an exclusive interview with MyNewsGh.com.

He said the Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon Rev. Aaron Mike Oquaye would burn down the Parliament House should the CSE be sent before him.

“When this CSE is brought to Parliament, the Majority Leader will run into the bush and die there, the Minority Leader will strip naked and run into the sea; all of us in the house are angry over this matter, so who will pass that law”, he noted.

He faulted the media for blowing the issues about the CSE out of proportion just to misinform and mislead Ghanaians to court disaffection for the government and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

“Journalists must be careful about this issue; it is not true; I’m telling you that, you will all see what will happen in Ghana if it turns out to be true, I have intentionally remained calm nowadays” he swore.

Even the whites do not teach what the media is preaching about the CSE into that detail; they just brush the surface of the subject matter; so who is that “mad manwho has drawn those sexually explicit pictures for our kids to learn in Ghana”, he quizzed.

He made the pronouncements on the sidelines of a ceremony to commission as two school blocks for the Fumso and Pipiiso D/A JHS in the Adansi Asokwa District of the Ashanti region.
