We will investigate attacks on Africans – Chinese Ambassador

Chinese Ambassador to Ghana, Shi Ting Wang has said that the government of China will intiate investigations into the alleged attacks on Africans in China.

Many videos flooded social media to confirm the reports.

Ghana’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs summoned the Chinese Ambassador on the situation and the Chinese ambassador denied any of such acts going on in China.

Mr Wang, speaking on the reports said that the Chinese government has a long standing relationship with Africa and is not ready to break that relationship.

It is therefore the responsibility of the Chinese government to ensure fiar treatment of all Africans in China.

He said that the Chinese Parliament is ready to initiate an investigation into the alleged attacks and maltreatment of Africans in Guangzhou Province, China.

Mr. Wang spoke to the media after presenting some items to the National Chief Imam in Accra, on Friday, 17 April 2020.

He assured the people of Ghana of China’s commitment to help Ghana fight coronavirus in the country.
