”We are not taking Grace Boadu’s family to court” – Assaulted Journalist

Multi-talented Ghanaian journalist, scriptwriter, movie director Felix Awuah known in showbiz as ”Papa Jay” narrates how the late Dr. Grace Boadu’s family members treated him and his colleagues after visiting family house.

Popular Ghanaian bloggers Papa Jay of Poleeno Multimedia, Wayee Media, Grade One, Anigyie Tv, visited the late doctor’s family house to find out the preparation towards her final burial.

According to the journalist, he received a call from one guy from the family of the deceased who informed him about a meeting concerning preparation towards Dr. Grace Boadu’s burial. ” I gave my number to one guy in the family to contact us if there is anything going on concerning the burial of the late doctor”. He said.

”After our arrival at the family house, they welcomed us and gave us a place to wait for them but due to time, they couldn’t have an interview with us” he added.

One of the family members disclosed to me and my colleagues that they will not be able to have an interview with us due to limited time. The multi-talented anchor and his colleagues left the house to their car hoping to return back to continue their daily assignment. One family member came to their vehicle asking them about who they are and their mission. After they disclosed to him that they are media personnel, ”Papa Jay” received a slap and the rest also got beaten by some guys without the knowledge of the family elders.

We quickly reported the case to Ejisu police station, says Mr Felix Awuah.

YA, who was severely beaten by seven guys, was hospitalized for three days. ”YA’s” two smart phones got missing but the family members returned it to the Ejisu police station.

In an exclusive interview on Ghanaian based South Africa radio talk show nabbed ”Ghana Te Sen” discloses that they are ready to take the case from the police station as they want peace.

The host of the program Mr. Solomon Ogyem known in media space as ”Mr Press” asked Mr. Felix about their decision to take the matter to court but he answered not really.

Read their shot conversation regarding court issues during the interview below:

Mr. Press: Is the matter taking to court?

Papa Jay: No!

Mr Press: Why?

Papa Jay: We are not ready to take the matter to court because we need peace and even the car glass that was broken has been paid off by the family. There is no need to take it to court, we are just hoping to see our brother YA to gain his strength.

The intelligent journalist Mr. Felix Awuah  also shared his first encounter with the late medical practitioner.

Meanwhile the case is still at Ejisu police station.
