‘We are going to Madrid to win’ – Thomas Partey switches attention to UCL after Brentford draw

Ghana midfielder Thomas Partey has shifted his focus to the second leg of the UEFA Champions League quarter-final match against Real Madrid.

Arsenal travel to Spain with a strong 3-0 win from the first leg in London.
The Black Stars midfielder will also be returning to the city where he spent most of his career playing for Real’s rivals, Atletico Madrid.

Partey excelled in the first leg in London and continued his fine form with a goal against Brentford in the Premier League on Saturday.

Ahead of the trip to Spain, Partey remains confident of Arsenal’s chances against the European champions.

“I think we’ve experienced this many times when we play here, and I think it’s not going to be something different,” he said.

“We just have to be confident with the ball and try to play our game.

“We all know what we have to do. We have to go there with the mentality to win. We want to win every game. And I think we have to play our game, be confident with the ball, and also try to find their weaknesses and keep attacking them.”
