Watch video of Kofi Adomah taking unaided steps to mark significant improvement in his eyesight

Following her post indicating positive improvement in her husband’s condition, Miracle Adoma, the wife of Ghanaian broadcaster Kofi Adomah, has shared a video of the journalist taking unaided steps.

The broadcaster, who has been battling to regain his eyesight after being shot in the face with gunpowder, is seen walking on the streets of North Carolina with his wife and a relative, who let go of his hands for a brief moment.

“All right, thank you,” Kofi Adomah, who was wearing dark sunglasses, is heard saying after taking about two dozen steps unaided.

“Thanks to the US medical system and thanks to my family in the US,” was the caption shared along with the video by Miracle Adoma, who has stood strong by her husband since January 15, 2025, when he sustained a serious eye injury while covering the Kwafie Festival and the 25th anniversary of the Dormaahene’s enstoolment at Dormaa Ahenkro in the Bono Region.

Initial reports suggested the injury resulted from gunpowder residue or pellets during a traditional musketry display, but his wife, Miracle Adoma, later clarified that an individual deliberately shot him in the face.

The incident led to partial vision loss in one eye.

Prior to her recent update, Kofi Adomah had undergone multiple surgeries in Dubai and was still recovering, with his wife indicating that her husband had been scheduled for further surgeries.
