Watch video of former Black Stars player Rabiu Mohammed working in a cocoa farm

A video of the former U-20 star working on his cocoa farm showed him weeding on his land.

In reaction to the video, many Ghanaians have praised the player for his new career path, which is rare among former footballers.

Rabiu Mohammed retired from football in 2020 after a brief stint with Russian club FC Tambov, where he made two appearances.

The former midfielder rose to fame following his impressive performances with Ghana’s U-20 team at the 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup.

He was subsequently promoted to the Black Stars and made the squad list for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.

Throughout his career, he played for reputable clubs such as Udinese, Sampdoria, Paris FC, and several Russian clubs. However, his career was largely marred by injuries.
