Watch Thomas Partey’s goal in Arsenal’s 2-0 win over Aston Villa

Black Stars captain, Thomas Partey scored to power Arsenal to a 2-0 win at Aston Villa on Saturday, August 24, 2024.

Ollie Watkins missed a couple of chances that could have seen the hosts take the lead at Villa Park as the first half ended barred.

Arsenal responded with two goals in 10 minutes in the second half to snatch their second three points of the season.

Leandro Trossard made Aston Villa pay for their missed opportunities when he scored in the 68th minute, just two minutes after coming on as a substitute. He calmly slotted the ball past Emi Martinez to put Arsenal ahead.

Thomas Partey then secured the victory for Arsenal 10 minutes later. After receiving a pass from Bukayo Saka on the edge of the penalty area, Partey expertly placed the ball into the bottom corner.
