Watch the rib-cracking moment Akrobeto presented the news with Nana Aba Anamoah

At UTV’s ‘Day with the Stars’ event, popular Ghanaian actor and TV host Akrobeto, alongside renowned broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah, presented the news for the day.

Their unique pairing sparked immense excitement, drawing attention to their contrasting news presentation style.

Akrobeto is known for his comic role as the ‘Real News’ presenter and his humorous struggles with English, often entertaining viewers with mispronunciations and misspellings.

In contrast, Nana Aba Anamoah, known for her mastery of the English language, was paired with Akrobeto to create a lively news segment.

From start to finish, the two provided a captivating show, full of rib-cracking moments.

The audience was treated to numerous instances where Nana Aba couldn’t help but “freak out” over Akrobeto’s unique approach to the English language, constantly correcting him with a mix of laughter and disbelief.

Their playful, yet incompatible, delivery exuded more comedy than serious news presentation.

Although Akrobeto got some spellings right, his errors far outweighed the few times he ‘nailed it’. The few times he got it right earned him applause and hugs from Nana Aba.

The chemistry between the two was evident as their light-hearted banter stole the show, transforming what would have been a regular news presentation into a ‘comedy show’.

At a point, the roles reversed when Nana Aba struggled with Twi pronunciations, giving Akrobeto the chance to correct her in return.

The ‘Day with the Stars’ event, an annual tradition at UTV, brought together a host of Ghanaian celebrities, who played the role of broadcasters at the media house live on TV.

Held on January 1, 2025, the event was filled with excitement, as the likes of Salinko, LilWin, Piesie Esther, OB Amponsah, Diana Asamoah, Lady Prempeh, Brother Sammy, and many more took on various roles, delivering entertainment and excitement.

In addition to the news presentations, the day also witnessed live performances from some musicians and comedians.
