Watch the chaotic scenes as NDC, NPP clash in Salaga over Akufo-Addo’s DRIP equipment arrival

In a video shared on social media platform X by TV3, scores of supporters from both the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) are captured pelting stones and other items at each other in Salaga, the capital of the Salaga South constituency in the Savannah Region.

According to the accompanying caption to the video, the clash was a result of the recent launch of DRIP equipment, which provided road materials and vehicles to each constituency by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s administration.

The report indicates that both parties urged their supporters to meet and receive the DRIP equipment from Damango, each claiming ownership of the said equipment.

This is said to have escalated into a physical altercation, leaving two seriously injured and rushed to the Salaga District Hospital, while others also suffered minor injuries.

“Scores of supporters of both the NPP and NDC in Salaga are battling for their lives after engaging in a free-for-all fight following the arrival of the District Road Improvement Programme equipment,” the post said.

In the video, the youth are seen holding all kinds of weapons and throwing stones and anything they can get hold of at each other.
