The footage shared online shows a speeding vehicle on a main road approaching a junction, where it crashes into another vehicle ahead.
Three others, including the drivers of a Jaguar and an Artura vehicle, are also reported to have sustained various degrees of injuries and are battling for their lives.
Assistant Division Officer (ADO) Alex King Nartey from the Public Affairs Department of the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) confirmed the incident in an interview on Adom FM.
ADO Nartey said the deceased were in the Artura vehicle.
According to him, preliminary investigations have established that the accident was due to overspeeding.
Ado Nartey further revealed that one of the vehicles crashed into a wooden electric pole, causing the cables to fall off, which reportedly started the fire.
