Watch old video of Efia Odo breaking down in tears while narrating her childhood in a broken home

A video of popular Ghanaian media personality Efia Odo breaking down in tears has resurfaced on social media.

In an interview with nkonkonsa.com in 2022, Efia Odo opened up about her experiences growing up in a single-parent home.

Narrating her story with tears in her eyes, she shared how her painful experiences have made her stronger and more discerning in her relationships.

“I’m actually grateful for all of that pain. Cause it’s brought me to where I am in my life. Right now. I have so much self-worth and self-love.

“When you go through the pain that I’ve been through, you will never allow yourself to go through that kind of pain again, ever. Because it’s overbearing,” she said.

She further spoke about her forgiving nature, despite the hurt she has endured but acknowledged that her past has made her more guarded in how she relates with others.

“You can stab me in my back today and tomorrow I’ll offer you tea. Because I see you’re human. You make mistakes.

“But growing up is knowing that people will not love you the way you love them. So, I just had to change how I love people. All the pain that I’ve gone through has allowed me to just be less accessible,” she said.

She also touched on her relationship with her father, admitting that it is still a work in progress but she may never be able to get to the level that she wants with him.

“Back to my whole father thing. I’m still trying. I pick up his calls more than I used to, but it’s still not what I want it to be. And I don’t think it ever will be,” she said.
