Watch how woman was nabbed while attempting to steal GH¢40K from MoMo vendor

A woman was caught red-handed trying to steal GH¢40,000 from a mobile money (MoMo) vendor at Nkawkaw in the Eastern Region.

According to a report by adomonline.com, the young woman, who is in her 20s, went to the MoMo shop pretending that she was there to withdraw funds from her mobile money account.

But unknown to the MoMo merchant, she sneakily snatched the GH¢40,000 the vendor was using for transactions and hid it in her side bag.

After grabbing the money, the accused swiftly tried to leave the shop but unfortunately for her, she was captured by the CCTV camera in the shop.

She was apprehended by some residents while attempting to flee, and the stolen cash was retrieved from her bag.

A video of the scene of the incident showed the lady’s bag being snatched from her.

One man can be heard saying in the video: “A young woman like you is stealing GH¢40,000. What are you going to use it for?”
