Watch how Ronaldo angrily walked off the pitch after he was subbed in Portugal’s loss to Georgia

Cristiano Ronaldo was upset after he was substituted during Portugal’s final group game at the 2024 Euros, which ended in defeat to Georgia on Wednesday, June 27, 2024.

The Portuguese icon was spotted kicking a bottle in anger and throwing his hands in the air as he walked off the pitch. Ronaldo, who appeared to be furious, held his head in his hands when he sat on the bench.

He was replaced by Goncalo Ramos in the 66th minute following a sub-par performance and failing to set the record for the oldest goal scorer in the Euros.

Ronaldo left the pitch while Portugal, who had already qualified, trailed 2-0, and they went on to lose the game.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia led the significant win for Georgia, scoring the first goal in the opening two minutes of the game with a brilliant finish.

They held on to the lead with a resilient defensive display before adding another from the penalty spot, with the tournament’s top scorer, Giorgi Mikautadze, making no mistake.

Despite the defeat, Portugal ended the group stages as group winners with 6 points, with Georgia finishing third with 4 points.

Both countries progressed to the round of 16. Portugal will face Slovenia, while Georgia will face Spain in the knockout stage.
