Watch highlights of Hearts of Oak’s 3-1 win over AC Semassi in Togo

Hearts of Oak beat Togolese side AC Semassi FC to continue their fine form in the pre-season.

The Phobians are camping in neighbouring country Togo as they look to get in shape for the forthcoming campaign.

Hearts were superior in the game, beating Semassi 3-1 on Wednesday, August 28, 2024. They took a three-goal lead before the home side reduced the deficit in the 90th minute.

New signing Asamoah Boateng opened the scoring in the first half before Kwabena Boateng and Isaac Frimpong added two more to extend the lead in the second half.

Some notable players who were in action for the Phobians included Salim Adams, Konadu Yiadom, Benjamin Asare, and Enoch Asubonteng.

The game is the first match of their training tour. They have spent six days in Togo and are expected to play another friendly in the region before departing for Ghana to begin the season.

Hearts of Oak will host newly promoted side Holy Stars at the Accra Sports Stadium on September 6, 2024, to kickstart the 2024/2025 season.
