WATCH: ‘Finidi ball’ – Fans gush over build-up to Nigeria’s second goal against Ghana

AFCON finalist Nigeria emerged victorious to claim bragging rights against eternal rivals Ghana in the spirited international friendly at the Stade de Marrakech in Morocco.

Goals from Cyriel Dessers and Ademola Lookman ensured that Jordan Ayew’s late spot kick only counted for a consolation.

Rangers striker Dessers gave the Super Eagles the lead in the 38th minute from the spot before Ademola Lookman came off the bench to add the second to give the three-time African champions a two-goal buffer.

Ghana defender Jerome Opoku was sent off with a straight red card in the 56th minute.

The Black Stars were awarded a penalty in the 93rd minute after Bright Osayi-Samuel was adjudged to have fouled Bournemouth forward Antoine Semenyo in the penalty area.

Skipper Jordan Ayew was presented with a chance to reduce the deficit, which he seized with aplomb by sending Nwabali the wrong direction

It was an impressive display by the Finidi George-tutored side and Football-loving fans of Nigeria have particularly being impressive by the build-up to Nigeria’s second goal by Ademola Lookman.
