Watch as Bukom Banku and his sons begin maintenance work on Bukom astroturf after takeover

Former boxer Brimah Kamako, popularly known as Bukom Banku, has already begun work on the Bukom astroturf after taking over as its caretaker.

In multiple videos shared on his official TikTok page, Bukom Banku, along with his two sons, Abubakar Kamoko and Mustapha Kamoko, were seen maintaining the pitch.

The former boxer has taken control of the facility, which was previously managed by a committee appointed in 2024.

The Bukom astroturf was commissioned in 2020 after the previous government transformed the original sandy park into a modern facility as part of its sports infrastructure development agenda.

However, by 2022, the pitch had deteriorated, with residents blaming the government for rushing its construction.

The park was renovated in 2024, with an administrative office added.
