Wanderlust Ghana’s Tacoma car gets stuck in Dubai Desert

The Wanderlust Ghana team, alongside a delegation of Ghanaians led by G10 companies, embarked on a tour of the Red Sand Desert in Dubai on October 9, 2024.

The team, known for their daring journeys, brought their Ghana-registered Tacoma vehicle to promote Ghanaian culture and tourism throughout their expedition.

However, during the adventure, the Tacoma encountered an unexpected setback when it got stuck in the desert, with one of its tires busted in the challenging terrain.

In an interview with blogger and journalist Andre Mustapha also known as Attractive Mustapha, who is currently traveling with the Wanderlust Ghana team, they described the situation as a “minor problem.”

They emphasized that these obstacles are all part of their mission to drive through 33 countries and showcase Ghana’s resilience and culture.

While the desert is typically navigated using Land Cruisers due to their proven performance in harsh environments, Wanderlust Ghana opted to use their own vehicles to highlight the unique Ghanaian spirit.

After the incident, the team was transported in a Land Cruiser to continue the journey, leaving the Ghanaian-registered Tacoma temporarily in the desert.

The adventure follows an all-white yacht cruise hosted by Wanderlust Ghana and G10 Travel Companies at the Dubai Harbour on October 8, 2024.

The event brought together Ghanaians from across the globe to celebrate Ghanaian culture and promote tourism.

The yacht party is part of Wanderlust Ghana’s 30,000-kilometer journey across 33 countries, which aims to inspire Ghanaians worldwide to explore the world while showcasing the beauty of their home country.

Looking ahead, the next major stop for Wanderlust Ghana will be South Africa, where the team will collaborate with the Ghana Tourism Authority to launch the “December in GH” initiative, promoting tourism and cultural exchange.

Despite the challenges faced along the way, Wanderlust Ghana continues to embody the adventurous spirit of Ghana, making strides in connecting Ghanaians and promoting the country on a global stage.
