Waakye breaks silence on ‘sleeping’ with Rosemond Brown allegations

Ghanaian actor, Prince Yawson popularly known as Waakye has broken his silence on allegations made by Kumawood actress, Rosemond Brown that he slept with her.

Rosemond Brown shocked Ghanaians when she told TV presenter, Deloris Frimpong Manso, also known as Delay, that she has slept with 24 men including Waakye.

But the actor, responding to the story, told JoyNews he has forgiven since she has issued an apology.

“I have said time and time again that I don’t want to speak to this particular thing. Whatever she did, it wasn’t as if she was telling the world I am a thief or murderer. A drowning man will catch at a straw…”, he said.

Waakye, meanwhile, confirmed that Rosemond only wanted hype, the reason she rode on his fame to gain popularity hence Ghanaians should forgive her.

“She wanted to use us to get to her destination and if she has done the wrong thing but apologised, I have to forgive her. Who am I to say no” he asked.

Asked if her sex allegations caused him family issues, Waakye said “Well, definitely I am human and there are a lot of people who look up to me and they wouldn’t see it as a good thing…” he said.
