VVIP Bus involved in an accident after a reckless U-turn on the Accra-Kumasi Highway

A Bolgatanga bound VVIP Bus heading towards Accra has been involved in an accident after a reckless U-turn on a busy Accra to Kumasi Highways.

The accident occurred 6:00 am today.

An eyewitness told mybrytfmonline.com that the driver upon reaching a section of the road at Anyinam to Engresi stretch decided to make a nail-biting U-turn to return to pick some luggage which fell off from the boot of the bus.

However, the cause of the u-turn nearly plunged into a nearby river.

The Bus has since dangled on the cliff of the river bed despite the effort made to remove it largely blocking the busy highway.

Personnel of the Fire Service and Police were struggling to tow the dangling Bus.

None of the passengers was injured.
