Voting ongoing smoothly at various polling centers in Yilo Krobo

Tens of thousands of registered voters in the Yilo Krobo Constituency of the Eastern Region are taking part in the general elections currently underway throughout the country.

Voting largely started on time at 7:00 am with voting materials arriving mostly at 4am.

The polls will run from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

At the Sra Presby Polling center where 672 registered voters are expected to vote, the exercise commenced at 7:00am with 30 people voting as at 7:45am.

At the Presby Old Chapel also at Sra, 4 out of 612 persons had voted as at 7:18am with 11 out of the 503 persons voting at the Presby Old Chapel Sra number 2 as at 7.26am.

Also, 22 voters out of 512 registered voters had exercised their franchise by 7.43 at the Sra Presby JHS.

Some 70,069 registered voters are expected to cast their votes today across 164 polling centers in Yilo Krobo.
