VIDEO: Two killed in an accident at Offinso, others critically injured

Two persons died instantly when an accident occurred at Abofour-Camp in the Offinso Municipality on the Kumasi-Techiman highway on Thursday, October 22, 2020.

The incident, which occurred just before 2 p.m. has left others in critical conditions, battling for their lives at St Patrick’s Hospital in Offinso.

The Fire Services and police personnel were later called to rescue the others.

The accident involved KIA pride taxi with registration number GR-2382-16 and Burkina Faso numbered articulated-truck with number 11-GL-6488.

According to reports, the KIA Pride which was carrying about five persons was coming to the Offinso township from Abofour while the truck was moving towards Burkina Faso .

Upon reaching the Abofour-camp, the truck driver collided head-on with the KIA pride from the opposite direction, according to an eyewitness.

There are fears the death toll could rise as others were referred to other medical facilities at Offinso St Patrick’s Hospital.
