VIDEO: Man Found Dead in Nkwanta Market in Oti Region

A man, identified as Zongo Lee believed to be in his late 50’s has been found dead at Nkwanta in the Nkwanta South Municipality of the Oti Region.

According to reports, the deceased ‘Zongo Lee’ found lying motionless and unwounded in the early hours of Friday, November 11, 2022, at the main market.

Evans Manasseh of Otixpres.com gathered information indicating that, the market place has gained notoriety for immoral activities at night.

In an interview, some eyewitnesses and traders in the area said, the victim have engaged in drug abuse leading to his untimely death due to the notoriety of the area.

The body at the time Otixpres.com reported the incident was still lying unattended by the Police even though several efforts were made to contact the Nkwanta police command.

Meanwhile, traders at the market are appealing to the police to intensify security surveillance to eradicate the notorious and immoral activities at night especially in the market.
