The 50-year-old NPP Ahafo Regional chairman was driving a Toyota Land Cruiser with registration number GT 3150-17 from Acherensua to Hwidiem when the accident occurred at a section of the road. Chairman Jerry and the 29-year-old Shankus died on arrival at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Hospital in the Ahafo Region.
Hon. Bobie and Hon. Joe Ghartey dangled into a voluminous pool of palpitation with the bereaved families of the two deceased. The two Ministers couldn’t hold their tears but they tried hard and consoled the grief families.
The Ahafo Regional Minister assured the families of their full support and urged them to take heart because,it is a great lost to the immediate family, NPP, Ahafo and Ghana.
“I believe that life is chaotic, a jumble of accidents, ambitions, misconceptions, bold intentions, lazy happenstances, and unintended consequences, yet I also believe that there are connections that illuminate our world, revealing its endless mystery and wonder.”- David Maraniss.
The Ministers were accompanied by the MMDCs within the Region, NPP Ahafo Regional 2nd vice chairman and other important personalities. The first ever Ahafo Regional Minister, Hon. Evans Opoku-Bobie released a countless sigh of relief,
