Watch the video below

An ex-robber has given operational insight into the world of armed robbery in what is both intriguing and sometimes, frightening.

While his account of how they are contracted by politicians and rich people in society to rob and kill targets in almost every part of Ghana is as chilling as they sound, it is their modus opera di that will get your head spinning.

The ex-robber [name witheld] has given a vivid account of how they get information and the profiles of individuals who become their operational targets.

“We get information from public places through the calls people make and sometimes from our contractors who are high profile people [in society] including politicians, to facilitate our operation,” the robber who granted an exclusive interview to Adom TV‘s morning show, Badwam, revealed.

He also revealed that some of the same high profile people for whom they execute contracts later turn to send the police after them even when they have received their share of the spoils of the operations.

On why they sometimes kill their targets, the ex-robber explained that they only do so as revenge or punishment to victims who make their operations difficult.

He has also apologised to his victims while appealing to his colleague robbers to put a stop to the act because it has the tendency to end their lives prematurely.

On what they do to protect themselves, he said: “you cannot do this [job] without spiritual protection so you resort to the use of talisman and offer human parts to heighten your protection but you can be arrested or killed by the police if you are not lucky,” he said.
