VIDEO: Gov’t TRAINING Militia Group for 2020 elections?

A teaser to a yet-to-be aired documentary by Joy News has revealed that the Government of Ghana is allegedly backing the training of a militia group to provide security for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2020 elections.

The documentary comes in the wake of public outcry for all political parties to dissolve their various militias.

 

A Committee, the Emile Short Committee, has been set up by the government with the hope that they can help find an antidote to the incidence of party militia in the country.

The work of the Commission has been backed by the President who reiterated in a reply to a letter from the embattled chairman of the opposition NDC that he does not need the services of thugs to win the 2020 elections.

“Neither the New Patriotic Party nor I need political party thugs to win the 2020 election.”

 

But the yet-to-be aired documentary states otherwise; as according to Manasseh Awuni, the government is backing the training of a Militia Group.
