It took me less than three minutes to respond to Sarkodie’s collabo – Beeztrap KOTM

Rising Ghanaian musician Beeztrap KOTM has opened up about his collaboration with renowned rapper Sarkodie on the track “Amen.”

During an interview on the popular Delay Show on August 10, 2024, Beeztrap shared the excitement and challenges he faced while working with one of Ghana’s biggest music icons.

Reflecting on the moment Sarkodie first reached out to him, Beeztrap stated, “I was very happy when Sarkodie called me. He initially posted our song, and I was happy, so I reacted to it. A friend of mine took a screenshot and posted it on TikTok, and people were questioning why I was so happy.”

Beeztrap explained that Sarkodie had been a major influence on his musical journey, making the recognition all the more meaningful.

“Sarkodie was someone I followed for years, so if he has posted me, why shouldn’t I be happy?” he remarked.

“Within that period, he texted me that he would send me a track… The following week, his manager called me, saying Sark had a song and wanted to send it to me to listen to.

“He sent it, and less than three minutes later, I was in the studio to record,” he said.

However, he explained that his initial version of the track did not meet Sarkodie’s expectations.

“The first one I did, they didn’t accept it, so I had to do it again.”
