Resign from NPP if you feel betrayed – Kennedy Agyapong’s bluff called

A Deputy General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Boamah Otukonor has admonished Assin Central lawmaker, Hon. Kennedy Agyapong to resign from the ruling New Patriotic Party if the latter thinks he has betrayed by faceless people within his party.

“I don’t believe Kennedy Agyapong can go ahead with his threat to quit NPP. He can resign if he thinks the kitchen is too hot”, Peter Boamah Otukonor spoke on Kumasi-based Nhyira FM in an interview monitored by MyNewsGh.com.

According to the NDC’s apologist, the tough-talking MP Kennedy Agyapong, being a financier of NPP only can talk without action therefore it will be difficult for him to carry through his threat.

“I don’t trust him”, he told host of ‘Kroyi My Nsem’ political talk show, Adauanaba Daniel Kofi Asante Ennin.

Hon.Kennedy Agyapong almost broke down in tears while addressing members of NPP in his constituency last weekend expressing regrets over some decisions he made.

According to him, he has been used by the party and at a point abandoned to be subjected to what could pass for a national disgrace in parliament which he says has informed his decision not to seek reelection in 2020 as a lawmaker.

“The way NPP has used me, when they were done they separated themselves and allowed all the disgrace to come on me. I am opening up today to you people, you can record and play to them. If I observe how I have lived my life and the way the NPP wants to treat me, I am calling it quits…I won’t stand again”, he insisted.
