VIDEO: Cassper Nyovest commends Priddy Ugly after boxing win: ‘I’m proud; I’m very proud’

Rapper and businessman Cassper Nyovest has challenged AKA to a boxing match following his knockout win against Priddy Ugly at the Celeb City 2 boxing match.

Nyovest and Ugly battled it out in the boxing ring at the SunBet Arena at Time Square, Pretoria, on Saturday. Nyovest claimed victory after he knocked Ugly out in two minutes of the first round.

“If it’s not Naak Musiq, the fight everyone wants to see is Cassper Nyovest and AKA,” he said in the ring after his win. “I still want Naak Musiq back in this ring. Naak Musiq, wherever you are, stop running.”

“Right now, there’s no belt because Naak Musiq didn’t want to contest for the belt, so that’s the fight that I want,” he added.

Nyovest lost to Naak Musiq at the first Celeb City event in April. The event took place at Sun City.

“Both of them are going to get knocked out. Firstly, AKA, he’s very scared – he’s the one that started this. He doesn’t want to come here, so I definitely don’t see him going through the first round; I’m definitely going to knock him out.”

Despite his call for a rematch with Naak Musiq and challenge to AKA, Nyovest commended Ugly after the match, saying he had “power”.

“You hit me very hard in the corner there, and I was like I need to end this quickly ’cause I don’t know what’s going to happen,” he said to his opponent. “I’m proud; I’m very proud.”

Meanwhile, Ugly said he could feel the “weight difference” between him and Nyovest.

“You can really feel the weight difference. I’ve been sparring my guns – the 20kg difference, you do feel it.”
