(VIDEO): 7 injured in Ayawase West Wuogon shooting

Seven persons were on Thursday morning injured in a shooting incident that occurred at the Bawaleshie residence of Delali Brempong, the National Democratic Congress candidate in the ongoing Ayawaso West Wuogon Constituency by-election.

 
According to the Greater Accra Regional Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Efia Tenge, checks at the hospitals revealed that seven persons were injured.

She said one person, who sustained a gunshot wound in the leg, has been referred to the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.

The Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Mr Samuel Ofosu Ampofo had alleged that eight persons were injured with two of them being in critical condition.

Meanwhile, DSP Afia Tenge says the Police are investigating the matter to unravel what accounted for the incident.
