Otumfuo at 74 dinner: Watch arrival of Nana Konadu, Kwame Despite, Kwaku Oteng

The high and mighty in society attended a big party on Monday night (May 6, 2024) at the Silver Jubilee Hall located at the Manhyia Palace in the heart of Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.

The event in question was the 74th birthday dinner of the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II.

Some media moguls, known indigenes of the region, were sighted at the event in dapper suits.

A video shared online showed the arrival of the former First Lady, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings who was accompanied by her only son, Kimathi Rawlings.

Despite Group CEO, Osei Kwame Despite as well as Angel Broadcasting Network CEO, Dr. Kwaku Oteng were also spotted arriving at the event with associates.

Nana Konadu joined other high-profile dignitaries on the high table.

A former president, a sitting Chief of Staff, royals from across the country and major diplomats were also in attendance.

It was a night of glitz, power and style as most male attendees turned up in suits, including the Asantehene and his guest of honour, the Ga Mantse.

Otumfuo Nana Osei Tutu II was born on May 6, 1950. He ascended to the Golden Stool, becoming the 16th Asantehene, on April 26, 1999. He has, so far, spent 25 years on the throne.

The 74th birthday of Otumfuo coincides with the year-long commemoration of the 25th anniversary of his ascension to the Golden Stool.
